Dave is a veteran film editor with many credits in all genres including feature films, episodics, commercials, trailers, shorts, docs and sizzle reels.

Features & TV Episodics;
For features and episodics, your rate will be based on several factors. Please inquire for a custom quote.

Trailers, Shorts, Sizzles and Commercials:
$2300/week

By the hour:
$145/hour

All rates include a 9 hour day, 5.5 days per week. Rate includes 5K-ready edit suite, dailies ingest and syncing. Rates are base rates only and can vary based on content and timeline.

For maximum cost efficiency, ask about a film editing and audio-post package. Let Post in the Woods handle your entire post-production process from camera dailies to theatrical screening.
FOLEY Open or Close

Foley work is charged at $120 per hour.

Note: For ballparking purposes, the average cost for a feature film will usually fall into the $2k-$3.5K range.

For maximum cost-efficiency on your next project, ask about a complete audio post package including foley!
SOUND DESIGN / SOUND FX Open or Close

We have a world-class sound library with over a half million sound FX in every category, from every corner of the world.

For sound FX editing and sound design, we prefer to quote a flat rate for your project. This rate will be established based on content and timeframe. Please arrange a screening for a quote.

BY THE HOUR, $140/hour

Dave is a veteran dialogue editor, with 3 Emmys, 11 Nominations and 5 Golden Reel Awards for his work in television and feature films. Proper dialogue editing is crucial to the success of your production!

Feature Film $4800.00

Short (up to 16 mins) $1100.00

1/2 hr. television episode: $1350.00

1 hr. television episode: $1950.00

AWARD-WINNING VOICEOVER/ADR SERVICES Open or Close

We have a small but amazing-sounding studio where we've done ADR and Voiceover for dozens of features, episodics, shorts, commercials and trailers.

ADR Studio + Recordist: $160/hour

ADR Editing/Tracklay: $110/hour

Note there is a 1-hour minimum AND a 1/2 hour ($80) setup fee for all ADR bookings.
For sync ADR, cue sheets and reference video must be received at least 24 hours before the session.

POST AUDIO MIXING Open or Close

The final mix, when everything comes together. The quality of your mix can make or break your film.

Feature Rate:
$140/hour (2.0 Stereo)
$160/hour (5.1 or 7.1)

Commercial Rate:
$150/hour (2.0 Stereo)
$190/hour (5.1 or 7.1)

The above rates are for nearfield mix services only. Our recommended process for a feature film is to mix to a 90% completion level in our nearfield mixing suite and finish the mix on a Dolby-certified theatrical dubstage. We work with several facilities and due to our relationships we can get top-notch rooms at highly competitive, discounted rates.
